Dr. Ohihoin is a Consultant Obstetrician/Gynaecologist and a Chief Research Fellow in the Clinical Sciences department of the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research.
He is a Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons and of the National Medical college of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He holds a Fellowship and Diploma in the field of Minimal Access Surgery from Asia’s Premiere Institute of Laparoscopy, the Laparoscopy hospital in Delhi India.
Dr. Ohihoin is an alumnus of the Japan International co-operation agency, (JICA). He has authored six books in his specialty including the famed book “The Black woman’s Pregnancy”. He has over 40 publications in peer review journals and academic resource.
Apart from his medical training, Dr. Ohihoin is a trained Arbitrator and Mediator with a bias towards resolving disputes in the health sector. He became a member of the Chartered Institute of arbitrators of the United Kingdom, after becoming the first medical doctor to pass the accelerated membership exams.
In human reproduction, he is currently researching into Infertility management in individuals living with HIV and other chronic infections. He is married to his best friend, Esther and they are blessed with two children.
