This is a myth and it is therefore not true. Pregnancy age is calculated from the last menstrual period experienced by the women since that is what everybody can easily refer to. Conception of the pregnancy actually occur about fourteen days after the last menstrual period, about the time that ovulation occurs in an average of 28 day cycle. Many women do not have the average 28 day cycle so it will be difficult to pin point the actual day of ovulation, so this is just a rough guide.
