At this stage of development, a lot of what can be seen of the developing conceptions via ultrasound is a gestational sac of fluid, but the basic structures for development of the organs and systems of the body are already developing and most of the structures that are designated to be particular organs and systems are committed to their course.

The developing baby is more complex than what is described as water and blood, though it may look like that.
